What appears on your bank statement

Privacy does not stop at the front door. If you share a bank account, have a partner who sees your statements, or simply prefer to keep your purchases to yourself, it helps to know exactly what will appear when you pay. The short answer: a neutral name that gives nothing away.

What name will you see on your statement?

Your parcel and bank statement show BH Commerce Ltd, never vibrator.toys or what's inside.

When you buy from vibrator.toys, your bank or card statement shows the name "BH Commerce Ltd". You will not see our brand name, the words "toy" or "vibrator", or the names of any products you bought.

"BH Commerce Ltd" is a neutral company name, the business behind vibrator.toys, and it is deliberately ordinary. On a statement, it sits comfortably alongside any other online order. You can read more in our glossary entry for the statement name.

How does payment work?

Payments are processed securely by Stripe, one of the world's most widely used payment providers. When you check out, you enter your card details on Stripe's secure payment page. We never see or store your full card number.

The statement name is set with our payment provider, so it is applied to every order automatically. You do not need to do anything or tick any box.

Depending on your bank, the name may appear slightly differently, for example in capitals or with a reference number added. Pending transactions can sometimes show a shortened version for a day or two before the final name appears. If anything looks unfamiliar, just get in touch with our UK-based customer care team and we will help you match it to your order.

What do banking app notifications show?

Many banking apps show a notification and a merchant name as soon as you pay. Because our statement name is neutral, these notifications show "BH Commerce Ltd" too. Some apps try to add a logo or a business category automatically. These come from the bank's own systems rather than from us, and with a neutral name they are usually generic.

What if you share a device or account?

Your statement is only one part of the picture. If you share a computer, tablet or email inbox, a few small habits can help keep things private:

• Use a private browsing window when you shop, so your history is not saved.
• Check where your confirmation email goes. You can use any email address you like at checkout. Our emails use plain subject lines, but the sender is still visible in your inbox.
• Save your order number somewhere safe instead of keeping the email, if you prefer.
• Sign out of payment wallets on shared devices after you pay.

None of this is required, but it is there if it helps you feel more at ease.

How do refunds appear?

If you return an item and receive a refund, it will appear under the same name, "BH Commerce Ltd". Refunds usually reach your account within a few working days, although timing depends on your bank. See our returns policy for full details.
